Today being the 4th of July, I felt patriotic and decided to at least start my Red, White, and Blue cars. I had to work part of the day at Advance and decided to drive one of them to work. Well, I started the Mustang Sprint, no problem. Then, I started and pulled the Pinto Sprint out to take to work. No problem there, either. Finally, I went to start the Maverick Sprint. I pulled off the air cleaner and poured some gas into the carb. I thought I would pour a little more for good measure. I overdid it a tad. Since I have no exhaust on the 302 yet, flames shot out the side of the engine when I started it. Thank goodness for fire extinguishers!! Otherwise, I would have lost the car and maybe the building that houses all the car!!!

All ended well and the Sprint Pinto was a hit at work.

    Happy 4th!!

Wasn't planning on driving the Maverick, just running it for awhile. It is not ready to party yet. I have been distracted from fooling with the cars for the past year, hope to change that soon. I still try to keep the batteries charged and the engines running, though. We shall see.

Glad to hear all is well across town. You can relate to my distraction problem, I am sure!
