Slop in column shifter linkage

    My column shifter indicator doesn't line up when I go into reverse
    or drop it into drive. I just slide it back into place. Is there a way of
    removing this slop? I have not gotten under the car while it is being
    shifted yet to see exactly what causes this. I'm sure this is common.

    I would say check out your bushings at the bottom of the steering column under the hood.

    Hi seen the comments on shift indicator pointer off 2007. Now it's almost 2020 got the same problem with mine just wanted to ask if yours is fix and how did you solved the issue.
