Slightly rusted torque boxes

    ouch... If it was mine, I'd tackle it... I dunno if I want to volunteer to hack up someone else's car tho...

    You just made me greatfull that I only have to do the cowl and floorpans...

    1977 Maverick 2 door with a 302.
    They don't look too good, but they are fixable. The torque boxes on our Stallion were worse than that. We cut the old ones out and made new ones to weld back in. It's really not that hard of a job to do and the new ones are just as strong if not stronger than the original ones.

    Wow, they look like there in pretty rough shape. I'd be tackling them pretty quick if planning on saving the vehicle. They won't get any better as time progresses!

    Only use duct tape to hold the bondo in place until it sets. :D

    That rattlecan undercoating is great for hiding stuff like that. I am sure is strengthens it by 2 fold also.
