side mirror removel???

    Well i just cant seem to figure out how to remove my side mirrors. I.ve tried but maybe im just missing something....or i got a bad case of the blondes

    :confused:

    advice would be nice thanks

    What exactly is the problem? If it the screws being stubborn, that's a common problem. They have a tendancy to rust in the threaded ends in the doors. Try a real good penetrating oil such as Kroil or PB Blaster. If you get inside the doors, you stand a better chance of reaching the threads from underneath. Let it sit a good while and try again, being careful to use a good Phillips driver as not to strip the heads. If you have an impact driver, you might want to try that after the screws have had ample chance to soak in the penetrating oil.

    Sometimes the "nut" on the back side just spins making it impossible to get off from the outside. Take off the door panel and put a small pair of vice grips on the nut. It will spin until the vice grips hit an object that will then hold it in place.

    Only use an offset screwdriver when removing these mirrors.
