My grandpa told me I could have seats out of what ever car I wanted in his field. After searching through the cars, I opend the door on this 1981 Mercury Lynx (Mercury version of the Escort) that was in the back corner of the field, and found these.

Unbolted them, brought em' home and gave them a test fit. Haven't bolted them down yet, but it dosen't look like it will take to much modificatoin to the brackets. We're going to put seat covers over them to make them match the interior (almost hate to). Included a pic of the car they came from for reference.

They fit the Mav pretty good I'd say. (y) Figgured it was worth posting here.

I guess that means you don't need the front seat I've been holding for you.:hmmm:

Actually, I was thinking about driving the Mav down there today to get your seat. Those seats absolutely did NOT work. My dad couldn't even get them to work. The seats from his 95' GT looked to be almost a bolt in though.

You coulda made them work ;)
    Takes a lot of measuring/welding
    I made a set from a 87 Bronco bolt into a 66 F-100. Floor pan way different.
But would have been a LOT easier to get different seats.

Well the main problem was the seats were kind of flimsy and they had to sit perfectly level. The floor of the Lynx was perfectly flat. If the seat was off even 1/2 an inch on any corner it made it very uncomfortable to sit in it. We kind of got the drivers side seat to work but the passenger side was even worse and we just said heck with it. The Maverick floor board is far from flat, thats for sure.

I'm gonna rig the Grand AM seat back in to get it to Terry's.

Yea, the seats out of our 92' are almost bolt in. front 2 bolts line up perfect. I would need to make some 2 or 3 inch spacers and drill a couple of holes for the back if I was going to put them in permanently.

I have a seat of seats out of a B2300 Mazda I was going to use in my Maverick until I ran across a set of Grabber seats on this board.
They are gryish and kind of a 60-40 split type seat with a fold down arm rest. PM me if interested

Jamie just left my house with the front seat out of my '73. Now what do I do? I know. Since the backseat is already out, how 'bout I put in the new carpet and the white bucket seats and white back seat. Now, I don't have an excuse not to do it.

BTW, Jamie is a good kid. Unfortunately, he is the exception for his generation; not the rule. I like that kid.(y)

Terry ... I gave Frank a really nice white rear seat since he went junk yard picking for me! :) Anyway .. maybe he'll trade you ... I know it is nicer than the one you have and pretty sure the upholstery is the same ...
