Hello again everyone this is now my second time posting with you guys. and since you all where so helpful with my last problem of moved heating. I was wondering if anyone knows of a place to get a new hood for my comet. I've been searching for ones in northern California or several months now Actually and I cannot find any unless they are also too damaged to use. Any suggestions? I'm low budget I'm doing this car as my highschool project now into my college year project and can't afford too much.
I dont think you can get metal ones NEW I know you can get fiberglass or carbon fiber ones NEW but I believe you can only get teh metal ones used I have an extra comet hood I would be willing to sell where in california are you?
They say that shipping by Greyhound isn't too bad so you might be able to find one from a distant source if you're having no luck finding one locally
I definitely have one thats in good shape but has a raised ding in it from setting the hood down on the carb bolt BUT you have to figure out the shipping unless you want to ship it ups Ill let my hood go for $100 it came off a 72 mercury comet
