Question for those that plan to participate in the Bracket Race at the Round-up.

Trying to decide the best way to pair everyone during eliminations.

    1) Blind draw? (like we did last year)
    2) Sportsman ladder?

Here is an example of what the ladder might look like:

I know what I would like to do :D but to be fair to all I want some ideals and thoughts.

    Thanks!

I would feel much better if you would refrain from using the word "Pinky" to describe your car. For some reason, it conjours up visions of Pinky Tuscadero in pink overalls instead of a fine, young man in a racing suit.

I don't know. I may participate in the speed festivities this year. I guess I need to change that rear gear ratio.

    Blind works.

i think the blind draw is the fairest as we have some that don't race very often, and some that aren't any good (like me). can't cut a light twice in a row. guess i need to get my car fixed.

I like the idea of a "Blind Draw", however......, I also would like to see a "Second Chance" tree. It's basically a "Loser's Bracket". That way, getting beat one time doesn't throw you completely out of the "tournament". The loser would go on to the 'Second Chance' Bracket.

There would be a trophy (or whatever) for the Winner of the Orginal eliminations AND that of the Second Chance bracket.

This seems to work really well at a local track close to Houston.

Also, the winner of both brackets could run against each other....but wait, there's more! Hold a "Sate Rep Race". The State Rep of each chapter would race (in single eliminations) for bragging rights.

Just an idea (especially since we will have the track to ourselves and not in a rush to get the event over with).

yes we had buy-backs last year :yup:
the way we did it was, the 2nd round, all buy back racers raced each other, then got back in the winners bracket in the 3rd round. Thats the way we do it at my local tracks.
