rock auto gas tank

    1974 Maverick, FRPP 5.0, AOD, 3.80 equaloc
    OK, rockauto sells the 76-77 gas tank. Several have said, including mean_maverck, it will work in a 74 with different straps or longer bolts for the straps. Is everything else a bolt on? I'm thinking about the filler neck, ventilation valve (on top) and sending unit install. Thanks

    The 74 straps will work with longer bolts. the filler neck is the same, you may have to buy a new vent valve for the top, someone posted the Ford part number on here, they still use that part, and the sending unit will work.

    hard to believe they still use that part! thanks, just wanted to confirm it would work before purchasing a tank.
