Rim Blow Steering Wheel arrived today ... looking good ...

The emblems I had made turned out to be just about a perfect match for the center emblem. Ran up to Ace Hardware and picked up some PC-7 two-part epoxy and some sand paper. Sanded down the nicks in the wood grain and then smooth in some PC-7. There was a single crack at the top. Filled that with PC-7 as well ... it's the grey goop in the picture. Has to dry atleast 24 hours so will sand it down tomorrow. I decided I'm gonna paint the woodgrain black since I have no woodgrain in my Grabber so it should match better.

It's in ... and horn even works in most placed around the wheel ....

Excuse the dust ... haven't cleaned the car since last fall ... I'll have it cleaned up for the Mini-Meet which is turning out to be a Major-Meet! :)

Took the Grabber out for a ride today ... got lots of attention at both the ice cream place and the gas station. Also had a guy turn around and pull over to ask me if I had a Grabber hood for sale. Said sorry I got one but not for sale. He is from Monroe, GA and has a 74 currently in the paint shop. Didn't get his name.

The rim blow steering wheel is gonna take some getting used to. I accidently blew the horn atleast 6 times in about 10 miles of driving ... :)

Yup ... PC-7 Epoxy paste ... Do a Google search for Steering Wheel Restoration or Steering Wheel Repair ... lots of info on how to do it ... I had a single crack in mine at 12:00 ...

I also scraped and removed the Metal Band around the outside of the wheel then replaced it with 1/8 inch Chrome Pin Stripe tape. I sealed the chrome band with Clear touch up paint just like the factory ...

It looks great Dan. You did a good job. What type of car did the steering wheel come from? What are you going to do with the steering wheel that you took out of your Maverick?
