I am researching to get some advice on replacing my upper ball joints. So far, I have decided to use Moog parts and found a couple of reasonable sources (woodys-auto-supply.com).

My car still has the original rivets retaining the ball joints. What tools/techniques are most useful to remove the rivets? I understand the innermost rivet (center position) is difficult to reach. I was thinking of drilling out the rivets with a right-angle drill and a short bit. Other ideas? Experience?

    Thanks.

You can check www.rockauto.com for parts as well. You can use a Dremel tool to grind down the rivets as well.

What style of grinder did you use? Pneumatic? Electric? Right angle grinder? What size disk? etc.

    Thanks.
