well remember my old car? and the whole story behind it? http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=8402 weil as you know i sold it. its been painted since i think some of you saw that already. but it has a rebuilt motor now. looks like this now however the guy i sold it to is selling it now and it is up on hemmings website. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/ford/maverick/1545788.html and yes he wants 22k obo for it! if he gets it maybe i should have kept it... lol!
Not too sure he'll get anywhere close to that for it.. and man o man.. those "teenage look" rattle can type stripes gotta go!..but it's definately nice. Did he dump all that cash into the motor?.. or did you make him pay for it when he bought it from you? And I assume he chopped up the Maverick Man hood to put grabber-esque scoops on there?.. or was that your creation too?
i like how the engine has a that typre of air cleaner is that a 2 brl carb and yes if he gets 20k for that car you should have kept it
I love the way the upper 3 gauges are done. I would have added the tach in with them, or put it in the dash where the heater controls were. The clamp-on tach and under-dash gauges really clutter it up.
Where I come from, $22,000 cars don't have dirty engine compartments and they don't have crooked front bumpers... just sayin'. I liked the look of it when MaverickMan had it. It now looks like someone took it to AutoZone and drove it down the tacky aisle with the crap magnet on.
I think it's difficult to get big money out of a Maverick unless it's pristine condition original low mileage or a full tilt restomod or drag car - this car is nice but seems confused as to what it wants to be so I don't think the money will be there for it
