i couldnt find a thread on this so i wanted to ask, would rearching the leaf springs be less expensive and better quality than new leaf springs. i was looking at JCW and www.p-s-t.com for them but i thing p-s-t is too expensive thanks
jc whitney is on back order until auguest 2007. www.espo.com has leaf springs. and yes, you can get yours re-arched, any springs shop should be able to do it. i havent looked into it out here in iowa, but in arizona they wanted 200 bucks with springs removed or 350 with springs on the car, and i couldnt afford that, so i havent done it yet... i am going to get mine re-arched i think
All they do when they re-arch springs is stick them in a big press and reshape them. If the metal is fatigued enough, they wont stay that way too long. I'd buy new.
my friend had a dodge 3/4 truck that had them rearched... they stayed that was for over 4 years, and we went offroading in it all the time. i bet some would re sag.. and some wont. but the piece of mind is to buy new
Hey Ag, where in Texas, and what year are you? We are starting to get a pretty good Maverick population down here. Be nice to get a bunch of us together for a yearly meet....

Cool! Rick Book lives out near you in Cypress, and fan2488 lives in Spring. I am down closer to the beach. Class of 1994, non corp. Good luck on your project, and getting into a wonderful school
I bought a set of 4 leaf Espo springs and it raised the back of my car at least 3" over stock height. THen I bought a set from JCW. The JCW were perfect.
