Hi everyone, I´m getting tired of all the cables hanging loose under my dash and trying to put stuff in order, so I wonder if anyone knows where the rear window defogger switch was/is mounted in the dash originally...?

    Please post pics if possible!!!!

    Thanks.

    Robert.

I presume you are talking about the dealer installed rear defrost?

I installed one in my car. The Ford instructions did not indicate where it was to be mounted in a Maverick....so you can mount it anywhere you like.

Thank you Craig, I did not know that it was an "option", it was just hanging under my dash, but at least it said on the knob what it was for, same with my emergency flasher, where that is supposed to be it´s just filled with some plastic filling material.

    Here ya go.

I suspect someone added the defogger to yours - or changed out the instrument plate with a non-defogger option plate.

(BTW, mine did not come with the Rear "Defogger" - I added it. For anyone interested, it's not a super-easy installation. It's like it takes time and effort and stuff.)

The "stuff" is probably the hard part.
