I have a 76 that I just did a bumper conversion on and the holes for the rear valance don't line up, I'm just curious how everybody else attached theirs?
Also, do you have to have a cutout for the exhaust or can it just sit above it?

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
I just lined mine up so the body line would be flush, then taped it with masking tape to hold it in place white I marked it with a marker then attached it with self tapping screws.

Then for the bottom nut I ordered the kit from a mustang supply chain, since there's is similar.

I'm not running the stock exhaust so I cant help on that.

My dual exhaust ran under my rear valance.
