I found brakes fro granada for the front of my 69.5 maverick and I am now looking for rear end- I belive mine has a 7.5 in it and i am putting a 347 and want to go to a 9 inch...i have a guy with 9 inch t-bird rear ends from 61-67 or 57-59 for 9 inch from fairlanes or lots of pick up 9 inch.....please help so much info out there alot seems to contradict each other.....which of these options would be the best for the car least amount of work? This site is great everyone is so helpful thanks in advance.

I know the 57 to 59 Fairlane 9 inch rears will bolt right in but I'm not sure about any others you mentioned. My 69.5 has a 9 inch rear from a mid 70's Lincoln Versailles (Granada or Monarch are the same) which is also a bolt in plus the Versailles rear also has disc brakes :)

Where are you located? 57 Ranchero and 57 wagons are direct bolt ins.:)

The T-Bird rears are definately too wide. I believed the only differences in the Ranchero, Wagon (& retractable) rears are the axle bearing size & bigger brakes. Any '57-'59 full-size Ford rear will bolt in.

I know the Ford pick up trucks, that I have seen, are big time too wide. Some early Broncos may fit but they have different offsets as to where the yoke is due to the 4x4 configuation :)
