i have a 5 lug rear end off a jeep and it is an inch on each side longer than the one on my 70 maverick can i still use it and just bolt to the leaf springs.
...if the ...spring pads...are in the right place, the ...yoke...will fit the... u-joint... to the drive shaft, all you will need is a set of wheels with the right ...offset. ...:Handshake ...
What is the lug pattern/size on a Jeep? Is it the same as a Ford? (5 lugs on 4 1/2") this could determine whether it is worth the effort or not.
Use to be jeeps were the same as Ford trucks. Bolt pattern that is. I think I would sell the jeep thing and do the Ford thing
Totally depends on what year and model jeep. Can you give us more specifics on the rear end? Is it a dana 35c, 44, amc 20, ect? What kind of jeep is it from?
yeah its a dana 44 with 3.73 gears and 1976-86 posi traction has some extra things on it but i can skill saw it. its a 5 lug close to 4 1/2 but more like 3/4 but yeah thats all the info i got from the serial. i just wanna use the rear end because im broke. oh yeah and cj5 jeep also if that helps.
You should sell it.Get an 8.8 out of a mustang. They fit and you will have to alter very little if anything to install it.Just need to get rear wheels with different back spacing.(8.8 is slightly longer hub to hub)Besides then you wont have mismatched wheel bolt patterns on the car.
