o.k. M.A.V. called me the other day and told me of a set of grabber doors in the "penny pincher". i called the guy and set up a time to see them. when we got there he saw where someone had stolen the "sport mirrows" off the doors. he had 4 mavs. and a '71-'72 comet. he had checked with the ford place and they told him the comet was rare. it had bucket seats, v8, auto/with floor shifter and a flat hood. on the front fenders there was a place where an emblem came off. he said it was in the car but we couldn't find it. he said it was a "cat" of some kind. anyone know anything?
think i seen somwere there was a comet like the dragonfly maverick ..not sure if it was dealer ad ons or what

Probably a "Bearcat" Comet as stated above. As far as I have seen..these were sold in the Atlanta, GA area.
So ... is he selling it? Or did one of you guys already buy it? I bet if one of us were to go to the local library and start looking through old car ads in newspapers on the fiche machines we could find pictures of a BearCat Comet.
Strikes my interest also. want to learn more Didnt know there was a Comet GT registry, how do I enter mine?
DM-we have promotional postcard pictures courtesy of Chuck Stalnaker, I believe. It was in the newsletter a couple of issues back. I can e-mail the pic to you. But, that would be a good place to look for more info. Andy-I am still gathering stats-nothing is in print-no website for it. E-mail me. Seth redcometgt@aol.com
