Does anyone know if there is a new sheet metal Radiator Support that could be modified to work on my 1971 Maverick 2 dr sedan? I'm not doing an "original restoration", so I just need it to basically fit with some side modifications.

    Thanks for any help. Mike

I know a guy who just used some flat aluminum strips and some aluminum L brackets with long bolts to go through the front sheet metal to the flat pieces of metal that go across the radiator from side to side.
heres a cheesy diagram of what it looked like

    Front sheet metal
    b- -b
    o- radiator -o
    l- -l
    t- -t
    flat piece of aluminum

the L brackets were to hold it down in place on the top

it was very cheap but very effective.

What's wrong with yours? Seems to me as long as it's not damaged from a wreck it could repaired....even if you used a repop support for a 60s Mustang (68 looks the closest to me) for pieces to weld into yours.

How bad is yours? Or are you just looking for something more custom?
