I have a friend who is thinking about installing a 302 from an '88 Cougar into his '73 Maverick. He (and I) would like to know if these engines had a roller cam. I know the Mustangs had 'em but did any other models come so equipped? If so, what year were they available?...

From what I can remember and have read, the Lincoln Mark series, some t-birds as well as cougars. I cant recall what year it began, but I am thinking 1986?

    .

Fordman, can you give us a rundown of the mods you have on your mav and how much HP you're putting to the pavement? The car doesn't look like it's tubbed, am I right? Pretty impressive to get the nose off the ground without full tubs and race slicks.

My 302 is out of an 88 thunderbird. I've got a roller cam.

my roller engine in my Maverick is from a 73 Maverick (I had it converted :) ) And my roller engine in my 89 Mustang is from an 89Mustang. Just thought I would share that.
