Alright here is my problem.. I am putting together a 302 and i am running into problems when it comes to putting on the water pump and crank pulleys.. i have a set of 302 v belt pulleys that are suppose to fit and dont even come close.. They are to big.. So i took off my old ones and ran into the same problem.. I did some measuring and noticed that from the water pump neck to the crank bolt opening it is a inch shorter then my old block. Did the distance change when ford went to a serpentine belt system or is there some else thats wrong. thanks for any info that any one can give me.
