OK guys here's the scoop........I have a 69 1/2 Maverick that I put a 302/c4 combo into and now I'm doing disc brakes and power steering. My steering setup is out of a 76 that I parted out(250 6cyl). I've got the correct pulleys and pump brackets and ordered the right p/s hoses. My question is....How was the pressure hose routed from the pump to the control valve? Did it come out of the pump and then go over the top toward the core support and loop back down? Or did it go under the pump then loop back? I have it mocked up the first way and seems to fit better but looks goofy. I need help from the Maverick Experts. If this was my Mustang or Cougar it would be a snap but this car is a different duck. Any help or a picture would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve
There is a bracket that mounts to the driver's side frame mount that holds both hoses going to the pump. Both hoses go down and under the frame horn where the frame mount is fastened.
Thanks for the reply Craig but my biggest concern is how it comes out of the pump on a 76-77. I looked through all the pics last night and found an engine shot of NAFORD302's and it appears to go over the top of the pump as I've got mine right now. Compared to all the other ford's I've had this seems like a strange route to take but it clears the exhaust nice. Steve
