So I brought my car down to a buddies house and remember throwing it in reverse at least 2 or 3 times with no trouble at all. Once I got it there we were working on it and we were curious as to where the emergency brake was located. Think my buddy pulled on it too hard (because it felt stuck) and now when I reverse my maverick there's a loud screeching noise. I don't know if it's because of the emergency brake feeling stuck or what. Anyone have this problem before?

Sounds like a stuck brake to me.

Any idea on how to fix it?

Probably stuck because the cables near wheels are rusty... You can douse them with PB Blaster or similar and hope for best...

If you drive it in this condition it'll probably burn up the brake shoes, but that may be exactly what's needed to be able to remove drums if the cables don't free themselves...

You need to find out what is stuck. Probably a cable.
