    just about ready to buy paint.i told them i wanted the best paint and clear they sold.i have no idea on price.i've also only check one place so far.i'll get a 10% discount with these guys cause the city i work for does alot business with them.anyone recently purchase paint and clear for me to get a gage by?

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Dupont is good paint for the money.Allways liked the ability of their paints to match original colors.Price is reasonable too.You could buy better paint and spend more money as well but...If done right...the Dupont stuff will hold up well for a long time.

    Thats the paint that I used on my car and the supplier also the price isnt bad and I was more then happy with the out come. are you painting the car yourself?

    no i just helped along the way the best way a complete moron at body work could.my buddy thats doing all the major detailed work is painting it.he and his brother in law have been doing this since the late 60s.used to do alot of chopper paint jobs in the 70s.the pics hes got of the old days are pretty cool.i have complete faith in his work.he's already got his whole garage covered in sheets,from the walls up to the ceiling.

    Thats cool. I would recommend asking him which paint he prefers most painters are perticular to one brand and get used to the way that it lays down the base is not so important as the Clear but, still a good Idea and if its a little more exspensive for the material the ending out come is worth the price.
