This is just a curiosity question, im not sure what category to post it in, but does anyone have any idea how much overhaulin "marks" pay in taxes? Do they charge taxes on every new part on the vehicle or what?

I always wondered who paid for the job in the first place.

I am guessing that most of or all the parts and materials are "donated" in exchange for the free advertising. As far as Foose and his crew, they are probably relatively cheap compared to the average Hollywood set. Then you add in the paid advertisers, which may make it a very affordable show to produce.

Like Mavinator asked, how much is the work valued at for tax purposes?

Ever notive that previous "marks" have been showing up on newer episodes. I often wonder if the show has them on the payrol to help out with covering the tax costs.

They said on a recent epsiode that "marks" do come in to help after they get their car back. Some type of restitution.
