What's everyones opinion on using a electric water pump on a street driven car ? I know I need a alt with plenty of amps... The only plus I can think of is city driving the coolant will keep flowing in slow traffic...

Is it reliable enough for a daily driver ?

Never had a problem with a Meziere electric water pump on the street. I got mine wired so I can manually cycle after shut down and watch the temp gauge fall. I drilled three 1/8" holes in the Tstat to act like the by-pass hose

    loved mine on my 347...

pic #1...the way it is to be installed out of the box.
pic #2...you can see how much of the cover and plate I removed with hacksaw and Harolds' mill.
pic #3...to me looks cleaner than pic #1.

I was looking at a summit pro pack comes with a harness and relay, but the pump is a proform product and I'm not sure if it's a good product... $228 bucks

i use and have used on customers cars the meziere pumps with no problems. the water pump is very important. i would not go for a cheap brand one. especially on a street car. ive been to mezieres factory and its top notch.

Use a Meziere or CSR, if you use the cheap ones you are risking problems and your engine.....

I will use a good one for sure... I'm going to use a painless harness with a 30 amp relay... Or a painless circuit boss with a relay, like crazy comet used in his engine bay...
