One wire alternator ?

    What wires do I keep when converting to a one wire alternator ? I know I delete the voltage regulator...

    Only wire I kept was the exiciter wire and I just plugged it off w/tape. I ran 4ga. wire to the batt side of the alt. I put a rubber hose over the dipstick tube to make sure the alt post does not ground/short against any metal. It has been that way 4yrs w/o issues.
