OK 250 guys what's this do hickey??

    On the drivers side, bolted to the center valve cover bolt, 2 wires, one vacume hose, about an inch by an inch with a round "cap" on the top.????? Sorry no picture. Russ

    Its a catalytic transponder.....if its running good leave it alone, they make a mess if you open em up.

    I know exactly what you are talking about as I remember it when I changed the head gasket on my brother's old 250, but I can't recall what it was called. I even looked in the Chiltons, but there weren't any pics to identify it by. I'll keep looking.

    We had one on our 6 cylinder replacement car, it was to reduce the vaccum advance. The wires go to a VSS (vehicle speed senser) sender under the dash on the seedo cable.

    I think I still have it I'll post a picture later

    it is a thingamabooble... unique to green 4dr cars originally sold in new jersey. 73 only. and no klingers doesn't have any more.
