FullSizeRender4.jpg Working on installing my oil pressure fittings when I noticed two openings (see pic) . The one in the black section and closest to the oil filter is where I think it needs to go. Right? Wrong? What then is the second opening for? Question 2: I would like to hook up my oil pressure idiot light along with the pressure tubing that goes to the gauge. Does anyone make a prefab connector for this or do I have fabricate one?

The plugged hole in the block is for the sender unit. I don't know what the hole in the timing cover is for, I have never seen one like that. I would think you could use both a gauge and idiot light by having a T with both sending units installed.

I used a plumbing Tee to setup my light/gauge. I too, don't know what the 2nd hole is for. There is a fitting made for this type of setup; I have one but it was to long to fit where I needed to put it.

vdo makes a double electrical sending unit so you can use both gauge and light
