I bought a one piece oil pan gasket not noticing that it's for a pan with a dip stick tube.. Can I just snip off the outer edge of the dip tube hole and add some rtv in its place ? The gasket is still there just a little narrower where it go's around the tube...

    2) The fuel pump eccentric is a two piece installed on a double roller timing chain, seems to clear the cover fine.. Is this OK ? and if I run a electric fuel pump can I leave it in place ?

I'd take the gasket back and get the correct one. Felpro makes two 1 pc gaskets, one for the dual sump, one for the older front sump. As for the eccentric, yes, you can leave it there and still run the electric pump
