I set up a new sub forum called the Community Center which is where you can wish other members happy birthday, or make other special announcements that you would like to share with other members. I made it a sub forum of the General Maverick/Comet forum to encourage members to post there as it is the busiest forum. The posts wont be indexed(searchable) and you will have to be logged in to see them. I moved all the birthday posts from the past moth to the new forum. To help the victims of hurricane Katrina, I donated $10 of each Supporting Membership sold in September to the United Way's Huricane Katrina Relief Fund. There were 31 memberships purchased and a total of $310.00 USD was donated. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=18654 A major upgrade of Vbulletin, which is what this forum uses, has been released and it contains some major internal and administrative changes. All of the addons that the forum uses like the photogallery, trader ratings and the time slips database will no longer work unless they are updated. So far the only addon that has been updated is the photogallery. So once all the addons have been updated, I will upgrade the MMB. Moving! I hope to finally move the site to a new server and it will be done by the end of the year.
My membership expired. I'll renew once I start getting paychecks again. I quit the fabrication shop last week to go back to my old job at the exhaust shop. Sure is nice to be back there. I love the job, and I'm making more than I was before so things are looking up for sure.
Bummer the other gig didn't work out. Sounds like your old stomping ground is working out better anyway. Now you'll have more loot for liquid gold (fuel) and general p!ssing off next summer. Whoo-hoo!
