I've got air, I've got spark. If I spray starting fluid in the carburetor it runs for a few seconds before sputtering out.

The car has a new fuel pump and fuel filter. I took off the gas cap.

When I pulled the fuel line into the fuel pump, not a drop came out.

    Is my fuel line/tank clogged?

go under the drivers rear, and look at the hose there. disconnect it...anything comin out? theres a hard line runnin to the front to the firewall. anything there? blow it out if need be with low pressure. if you get nothing from the tank end, pickups most likely clogged. youd have to drop the tank down and pull out the unit, and clean the screen. im sure its not that bad, as its a screen, so to plug it up, youd have to have a load a crap in the tank. good luck. btw, if you just changed the pump and all, perhaps you havent bled the air outta the line yet. i know it sounds wierd, but disconnect the line after the pump, and CAREFULLY have someone hold a coffee can with the hose in it, and you can crank it over and see if your gettin fuel.

...i don't drop the tank to pull the sending unit. just be ready for all the gas in the tank above the sending unit hole to run out.
i took the line loose at the carb. and poured gas in the line from the carb. to the f/pump ... this primes the f/pump. if that doesn't do it ...take the line loose at the sending unit and blow from the f/pump (in) line to the back.:yup: if it is clear there...then pull the sending unit .

I had the same problem when I was trying to get my '69.5 running. Would absolutely not suck fuel up to the engine. I disconnected the fuel line from the fuel pump, stuck it in a small gas can. Then removed the gas cap, stuck an air nozzel (air compressor) in the filler neck and wadded a rag around it to make it somewhat air tight. Slowly pressureized the tank until fuel started comeing out up front. Had no problems after that.

    Be very careful..

    Strange.

I tried blowing out the line and simply could not do it. So I go to drop the tank and the line into the tank is kinked badly on the leaf spring. So I shortened the hose and re-routed it.

The battery died in my car, so that's charging up at home today, but I was able to blow through to the tank after I took care of that. I'm 99% sure that was my issue.
