I found this group in my endless search for Ford car nuts in Central Missouri. I have owned a 1964 Falcon, three Ford Trucks, Econoline van, and a 1969 Mustang Fastback, my family had a 1961 Thunderbird when I was young in 1964, no Mav yet however. I am a president of the Central Missouri Mustang and Ford club in Columbia Missouri and am on the committee planning our 25th Annual Car Show next June 24th. I thought I would search out all kinds of cool cars and so here I am. It was a great show last year and is all Ford. It would be great to hear from any folks that would be interested in coming, perhaps in a group. My 1969 Fastback has been in my wife's family since new and now has bored, balanced and blue printed 250 six cyl engine, dual outlet headers with dual exhaust, CD system, larger sway bars and front disc brakes. I loved to hear from folks with sixes and love to hear if a group wanted to come out to Columbia next June. www.centralmomustang.org for additional info. Jim Reese
My '72 Maverick has a 250 in it that was destined to be scrapped before I bought it. I drive the car daily and have put over 25,000 miles on the engine in the last year and a half for a total of over 215,000 and counting on it. They are great engines.
