let me start buy saying this ive been messing around with cars since i was around `13 now 37. I have owned probably around 20 different things, 60 camaros, fire birds, corvetts, novas, dodge chargers, ford and chevy trucks, i just sold a 68 galaxie fast back big block car with a factory 4 speed, to start work on a 53 f100 that i have. BUT THEN, I found this little 70 model maverick it has its problems, it has ben hit in the rear and caused a little sub frame damage but it is very minor. Now with that being said the car is great i have never been more excited about working on one, ive never had this much to start with. The maverick is a two door , 1970 model with 41000 orginal miles, still in orginal green paint, 170 ci six cyld, the car is the MOST COMPLETE CAR for its age I have ever had the privilage to own. im going to change a lot of things but for now it includes the orginal, am radio, hubcaps, interior a little rough but there, all of the embels and trim, of course the engine and trans. but what it doesnt include is what makes me the happiest ABSOLUTLY NO RUST, eveen the underside of the floor pans are still the factory gray color, not even any surface rust under there. there is just alittle surface rust on the very top of the car and that is it. I getting a little long winded so i will cut it short. sorry but like i said i have never been this excited about a project.

You might have a 69.5 just wondering with the 170 6...where is your ignition swich dash or column?

69.5 has dash mounted key , 7.5 rear ( looks like the 8.8 in the fox stangs)

70-up column mount key , 8 inch rear( looks like a 9) basicly the same few minor differences from year to year.

But you are in the right place you wont find a better place to be when you want to find info for you maverick.:thumbs2:
