Got them back, and installed to night. 2" added to stock height ESPO 4 leafs. Top pic is after, bottom pic is after new stock 4 leafs installed. I'm happy now:bananaman
what coils and leafs are you using...i like that ride height...that is EXACTLY the look i want in mine thanks
Thanks guys I'm really happy with the stance. I ended up with 2" lift added into the stock ESPO 4 leafs springs, and the stock V8 big bumper front coils. I'm not sure if there is any differances in the spring rates but, these front springs came out of a big bumper V8 74 Mav with AC and power steering. It now has maunual steering, no AC and small bumpers. I'll take actual wheel center to fender lip measuments tomarrow. Thanks again for the kind words. Now the next/last thing on the list is body work and paint.
springs-leaf yer car looks tight!! what kinda places should a guy look to get springs "recurved"? does this process last though "signifigantly less than ideal usage"? can recurving be done to springs that have "gone flat"? would it be cheaper/better to buy new springs? does the use of "drop shackles" ruin a spring? has anybody ever moved the snubbers for the rear suspension down to limit travel in a "jacked up" rear suspension? if so whad ya do? i hate flat leafs, i have many Q's and no A's
Unless you can find a place that does it inexpensively, it is better to just buy new leafsprings. My new ones were only $120.00 for the pair. The local shops here wanted $160 to re-arch and add a leaf...
