    Hey folks
    I finally found me a console. It came out of a 71 Mustang. Had one bad spot on the back corner but Im fixing that with fiberglass resin.Ialso removed the clock because it didnt work and I already have one on my radio. Here it is and best of all $20.00

    What do you fellas think about the idea of taking the clock housing and putting a piece of smoke tinted lexan with the comet emblem on it with a light in it wired with the dash lights?Or maybe just the interior light.Cool Huh?Opinions Please

    missing my 71 maverick i6 3 on the tree :(
    i just found what i thought was a granada console but when the ups guy brought it i found out it was from a lincolin versailles.. same as a granada console but much more plush.. now i just need to find buckets..

    Nice job Tim. I live close to an "all ford junk yard" he has tons of old fords including a few mavs + a couple comets....he really didn't have much that I needed, but I love to go up there and wander...The guy must think I'm nuts....let me know if there is anything in paticular yer lookin fer and I'll look when we thaw out up here. Dwayne.

    I also purchased my car from a mountain town in western NC. Sparta N.C. Isnt that ironic . Looks like a nice solid comet and your interior looks great. Good luck with the project

    Thanks. Yea I know where Sparta is. I used to travel up route 77 on my way up north when we lived in Shelby, NC...when I bought the car I was living in Asheville NC...the car was bought in Sylva, NC...near Cherokee. I passed up a couple of nice Mavs back then and now wish I would have picked them up....but you know how money can be an issue sometimes. Hey...does anyone ever make to Carlise, PA. They got the ford show June 2-4th...I think.
