    Hello fellow Mav/Comet brothers,

I am a new member just getting into forum world. This is my first venture into this type of format. I just bought a 73 Comet GT on July 11 at Iola WS. car corral. The car is a mildly modified 302. I have A/C, PS and none pwr disc brakes. I plan on adding a brake booster at some point.
I know I can gain some valueble information by picking the brains of some of the experienced brains on this format.

    1st. Welcome

Thanks for the greetings. U have a nice looking Mav. I have not had time to post picx yet. I have been redoing my front brakes and has some problems getting the correct for the car cuz it did'nt have std Mav brakes.

I plan on putting Mustang wheels on my car soon. I also will put 17" * 7". I have 14*8", 67 Cougar wheels now; they have +32mm ofset and 4" bkspace. I hope to find some Mustang take-offs--tires and wheels.
I wud like to attend the meet in Hannibal but can't make it this year.

You should head out this weekend to the western part of Illinois, cross the mighty Mississippi into Hannibal, Missouri and check out the Maverick Comet Club International (MCCI) 16th Annual Roundup Nationals. Lots of Mavericks/Comets and Maverick/Comet people will be there and you will get all your questions answered and meet a great bunch of people. More info at: www.maverickcometclub.org

    Howdy and :Welcome:

You dont need a car to attend the Roundup. Many people will be here without cars. The cars are just the thing that brings us together. Its the people who make the trip worthwile.

thanks for the welcome. Im new to this type of networking and still trying to figure out how this thread stuff works. I have a Red Comet like the one I see u displaying. I put rear springs on today from General Springs, Olate KS. they ride hard to me. I have owned the car for one month. Have u had a spring replace since u had the car? If so - where u acquire the springs and how they ride. I replace 3 leaf w/ four leaf; only thing I cud find reasonably price. I will be lookin to gain from the experience and knowledge frm those affiliated w/ this board.
