I would like to introduce myself. My name is Octavian, and I am on my second Maverick, both were 70's. I found this place, and I love it! Alot of nice folks.

The first one was in primo condition, but the timing wasn't right. I bought it to build as a street/strip car, and to replace my 67 Pontiac LeMans, but the pieces were not all in place. So I sold the car,, and kept racing the LeMans...

Well, the LeMans is being sold this weekend, and I'm starting on my new project! Here is my planned receipe:

351 based 408 or 427 (depending on block), roller cam, AFR 220's or Brodix Track 1's, 12 to 1 ish' compression (or less), small Cheater kit.
C-4, 9 inch w/ yet undetermined gears. 28x10.5, but I may have my chassis shop see if we can lengthen the wheelwells, and stick a 29.5x10.5 in there.
Cal Tracs w/ mono leaf springs
    Full cage, stock interior.
Notched shock towers, and custom headers :90:
Goal is 10.50's on motor, 9.50's on the unit.

I'm brand new to Fords, but have been a fan for along time. As my wife says, I'm changing religions! I was a Pontiac man for 12+ years, but thats all gone now. I'll be learning with you folks, so I appreciate your patience! I'll resize the pics, and get them up...

Actually....they did make Pink Mavericks..........but that isn't it.

I can't find that color on my "paint chips". I think the car was repainted the wrong shade of color.
