Well just joined this site since I just purchased a 72 Grabber Mav. my other toy is a NHRA DIV 6 Super Gas / Pro gas 1989 Mustang GT (347 stroker, powerglide, 15.1 compression) here is what I just picked up today let me know if you think I over paid (vin confirms it is a grabber btw) Well just got back from bremerton with the new car.. she did 60-70 on the HWY fine but def needs the carb adjusted (had to roll the first 30 min with the choke on) the motor will be coming out here very very soon and replaced with a mild 302 built by Lee Quiroz. the body does need some attention which will be started on most likely this weekend and possibly a color change as soon as this weekend since I have 4 days off. Color choice will be flat black with gloss black factory stripes/lettering So here it is Spec's: 1972 Ford Maverick Grabber (not a clone VIN confirms) 302ci, C4 tranny, Ford 9 inch detroit locker Price: 740.00 not a bad find I dont think.
Glad you bought it, I have been looking at it for awhile. As long as you are not afraid or have experience in doing some body work I think it was a good price. Does it have a 9 inch and a locker in it like seller stated, if so that just sweeteens the deal that much more. Oh and welcome to the forum, nice stang too
Welcome to the board! Original Grabber, nothing wrong with that. If the rear end is a nine inch posi. then that was worth it.
yup confirmed it is a ford 9 detroit locker... and yes she still has some power as I marked a new stretch of road with 2 nice black stains biglaugh:
the fox is slow trust me well it takes 9 seconds to really get going fast.. but by that time its already turned off and slowing down BEFORE:
Cool, you have till sept to fix it all up. Hope to see you in Mission, canada, for the Mega Ford Weekend. It would be good if you could make it.
