Right now my maverick is my daily driver and my only car. But since I will be doing alot of work on my maverick in the coming weeks I won't have a car to drive. So my parents asked if they should get another car for me to drive while I'm working on my car. And since my sister will start driving soon it will become her car when i get mine finished. But I'm not sure what would be a good buy. It would have to be dirt cheap, extremely reliable, good fuel economy, cheap and easy to repair and if at all possible I want it to be a ford. I was thinking maybe a fox body mustang but I don't really know anything about them. Any suggestions?

    Yeah what he said :thumbs2:

The problem with a 5.0 and a T5 foxbody is you might have both down while you do a engine/tranny swap to your car :rofl2:

Ford Focus, they can be found pretty cheap, and the insurance won't be as bad as a Mustang.

I will tell you the same thing I told you when you were looking for your first car: anything but an old car from the 1970's....like a Maverick. :D

Seriously....a Ford Focus would be nice...just not sure they will be cheap enough for you. With the price of gas and the shortage of vehicles out there....nothing is "dirt cheap" anymore.

could always go the chevy cavalier route.. 1990-1994 are around 300-750 here. and 1995-1998 are going for around 700-1500. good gas mileage, and im sure your sister will like the style of the latter cavs. also, they have a "plethora" of aftermarket parts that are cheap and any body parts can be found in your local junk yards and pick and pulls. Wish my parents offered to buy my cars when i was younger lol

the 4 cylinder mustangs got about the same mileage as the 5.0s did. i would say an escort or focus. get something that gets good gas mileage. that way you will save money on gas and have more to put into your maverick.
