hey guys and gals! I am looking forward to all the great knowledge y'all have. Everyone here seems to be nice,and for the cause. Got a 170 ci/c4 in a 69 1/2 mav now, but picking up a late model 5.0 roller long block and a t5 trans next week. So far it looks like a fairly easy swap, but looks can be deceiving as i am sure you all know.Any hints and/or warnings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...Jamie
Hi Jamie, to the board. There are a heck of a lot of people on here that have done the swap so you'll be able to get all the help you need. We're glad to have you here and feel free to pick our brains any time. You'll always get some answers...may not always be right, but you'll get answers. Well, it's midnight here and I'm getting ready to show mine in the morning so I gotta go get some sleep. Post some pics of your car when you get a chance.
Cool, another CA Maverick owner. I'm not too far from you. Things I've heard about the T-5 swap are trans tunnel enlarging, clutch cable instead of linkage, and cutting holes for the clutch and shifter. Roller block should pretty much be a direct swap except EFI. If you keep the C4, I think you may need a new flywheel or something like that. -Erick
