I know it should be in the classifieds but the chances of it being seen by the few AZ. guys down there might be slim and not in time. I am inheriting a 1960 Falcon 2 door Wagon from a friend that passed away. The car is in his yard and the tires are shot. They are 13" tires and I don't want to buy new one in that size. Looking for some stock 14" or 15" steel wheels, 4 lug bolt pattern, with tires. I am looking to borrow to get the car home or buy if the price is right.

did you by chance check local scarpyeards? they typically sell the cheap steel rims.. for allmost nothing... call around that's what i did... too bad my rims are all 5lug :( if that turns up not working... just bite the bullet and go grab some used tires for the 13" rims... it'll get her home at least and you can worry about other rims later... shouldn't cost a whole hell of a lot... i got a 4-set of used tires for my mav 14" for $126 mounted and balanced.... may be cheaper than the rims

the probablem with used tires is that there isnt much out there using 13" wheels. If I have time i will check the scrap yards this weekend but they arent as cheap as they used to be.

I just checked and everything I have are 5 lug. I do have one 13" tire that is still holding air, but as I said it's on a 5 lug rim.

Thanks for checking. This is another moment that I am kicking myself for getting rid of something I though I wouldnt need again. I had a set of four stocks wheels off my old 70 Maverick from when I put chrome wheels on it. Got rid of them years ago.

Just wanted to say to be careful to get 4 bolt rims that are pre-Mustang II ... the pattern changed ... ask me how I know ... long story attached to that one ... funny now ... wasn't at the time.

I have 4-4 lug wheels with 40 year old tires on them in the basement. They came on the Maverick I got in March. Now I know their in MI but you can have them if you can figure out any way to do this. Rick

I'm sure I could find some used 13" tires. but that would involve taking off the wheels on the car and blocking it up. then going somewhere to get them mounted and coming back to the car. Not much around the house the car is at to get tires from. Iwould prefer to just have tires and wheels ready to bolt on when I go ther with the trailer to get the car. But last resort I will take off the wheels and look for the closest Llantera shop for some cheapies.

thanks for the offer but shipping will probably be over $200. There are some 13" wheels with new tires for sale for $250 on the local CL but not looking to spend that much either.

Ryan, just a thought but why don't you check with your local tow companies and see what they would charge to pull it home for you on a rollback. If it's not ot far you might get it home fora $100 to $150.
I like to trailer or dolly my stuff because I have trailers and dolly but I have had the need to have a couple brought home on a rollback. Maybe I need to buy one :hmmm: Good luck

I am pretty sure I am going to pay to have it picked up on a roll back or trailer w/winch. I used a guy before that would do it for about $50, not going too far. The car is in a grassy yard and still needs to roll to the trailer and then roll into the backyard at my house through a bunch of rocks. Gonna need some tires on it to move around as much as I need to. Plus might as well get them on it so I can start messing around with it.

Good thing my son isn't there to help. He is the duct tape king and would probably try something like wrapping tape around wheels to make tires. :biglaugh: Not really but it would probably pass through his mind. No joke but one year he used 4 or 5 rolls of it to wrap his mothers Christmas present just to be a wise a$$. Took her forever to get it unwrapped. It was priceless.

Hey Ryan, I have two 14 inch 4 bolt rims but unfortunately they do not have tires on them. Let me know if you might want them.

Hey Gene, That is great. A guy on my Mustang club also has 2 14" wheels w/tires. Should be easy to find some cheap used 14" tires to throw on them. What do you want for them?
