We just got our '73 2door running. it's a mild 302 with an AOD. But the suspension is shot. I'm looking to get a front end kit from PST or ES but I need springs. What year mustang do I need to be looking at?

Also, can mustang aftermarket suspension parts work? IE: one of those tastey rear sway bars that you see people putting on the 60's models?

Most people who go all out with lowering a car via new springs. There are more
varieties of Mustang springs than Maverick/Comet springs.

I used the P-S-T polygraphite kit. It's tight, very tight. I did not use a rear sway
bar. I guess it depends on how you use the car as to what you need. I went with
    KYB Gas-A-Just shocks.

I got my springs through PST (along with the complete Poly kit). Turned out, they were the middle man for Moroso.

(I was just in a PM conversation about this same subject)

.... reminder (if you haven't alredy considered it): don't forget to buy new Coil Spring Isolators (rubber part between top of spring and spring perch)

You can get most of the front suspension parts from CJ PonyParts for quite a bit less money. For example, the coil spring isolators are half the price of PST, and they are rubber. Poly-urethane isolators are not available from PST for Mavericks, But they are for other cars.

I hear that National Parts Depot has the lowest price on coil springs. ESPO Springs-N-Things also has low prices on coil springs. J.C. Whitney had the best price on leaf springs, but I'd get the hardware somewhere else (like ESPO)
