Hey Guys, I need some help. I really want to to build a roller motor for my mav. I can pick up an older block or a newer HO for the same amount, but if I go with the newer block that's already machined for roller lifters, will my oil pan work and will I have to run a 50 oz. flywheel and balancer or a 28 oz? Also, is the deck height and everything the same from 86-95 as it was 77-85? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Clint
The inbalance depends on what crank you use not what block. The only difference between cranks is the older two peice seal type has an oil slinger wich can be machined off. Then it will fit a new one peice seal block, in fact alot of the aftermaket cranks fit both style blocks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33616&item=7954878651&rd=1
