Alright, I am trying to remove the stock manifold in my 76 250 and 3 of the bolts will not budge....how do I remove them? I didn't want to break them off so I didn't full force it....what do I do?
Exhaust bolts are always a p.i.a., I have had the best luck using a little heat on them if power blaster doesnt work, hot air gun works even a hair dryer will heat them up some.
The best trick is an old man trick I heard a few years ago. Heat the bolt head cherry red with a torch, then touch it with a candle. (dont use one of the wife's- they get mad) the heat loosens it up& the wax lubricates the threads.
Thanks for the tips guys....I don't have a torch or a heat gun so I will stick to the can of loosener and a hairdryer.
