I took my 351 Cleveland apart so long ago, if I had kept notes, I can't find them. Since then, it became a 393 Stroker and I'm putting it back together using an aluminum front engine plate.

Maybe someone has a Cleveland, and can look for me, and tell me what goes into a hole in the front of the block and another one in the water pump?

I "think" that the hole in the front of the block might be for the water temp sending unit and, if that is the case, I will have to create an access hole, through the motor plate, to be able to use it. The hole in the water pump might just take a dead plug.

I just want to be sure :thumbs2:

Could be used for a bypass tube also.

How bout the threaded hole in my new water pump? I don't have the stock pump anymore to check.

All of the photos, that I took of this build, just missed those 2 areas. :hmmm:

If you look back at the photo with me pointing to the water temp sending unit hole, look right above it and there is a pipe plug in the block.
That is the other heater hose nipple hole that goes with the nipple that is in the new water pump already.

The block nipple was rotted through and I had the engine builder extract it, tap it, and throw a pipe plug in it for transport. :yup:

I'm running out of things that I can think of so the water pump hole will most likely get a pipe plug.
