My old Maverick

    Hey there, I once owned a 1973 Maverick Grabber It came with a 302 V8 motor with a 3 speed column shift. It did not take me long to realize this thing was fast. I did some minor modifications; (put in a 4 speed toploader transmission from a 68 Mustang and a Holley 500 CFM 2bbl carburator, it had 2.79 rear end ratio and was running consistant 15.30 @ 89mph in the quarter. That was 35 years ago. I am currently looking for another Maverick to play with. I will consider all cars available and would like to start with a running 2 door car.

    What part of florida ? I know a guy here in Ocala that has one, he's not a maverick guy.... I can find out how much he wants... its a 71 200 I6 / C4 auto in really nice shape....

    Depends on where you're at. There's one for sale close to me over here. It's actually around Lucedale Ms. I've been getting numerous calls about this Maverick for sale. I think it's going to be a 73 in pretty nice shape. Haven't personally seen it yet but they say it's pretty nice for somewhere around $3500
