    Ihave 1974 maverick with a 250 cid engine a c4 tranny and i beleive an 8 inch rear end my plan is to drop a 351w (board and all) in rebuild my tranny with a raicing rebuild kit and put a ford nine inch rearend in the back

    my question is is there any tips or suggestions to make is easier or things to watch out for (this is my first job this big all the others were small qwick things i got done in one dat)

    One headache is going to be exhaust.
    I would replace the C4 with a V8 unit. They are built with more clutches unless the one you have will be upgraded when you do the job. The 351 puts out much more torque than a six.
    Cooling can become an issue.
    Front springs may need to be changed.
    Brakes upgraded.
