Here are a few pics...not very good, camera is crapola at night...I will get more pics soon. Already started going nuts with stipping stuff down and off of it...taking razors and mild solvent to the glass....working on the chrome...stuff like that. Michelle (roomie) said it is a miracle that it has not caught fire with how the folks who had it before wired it...and laid the fuel line...no stability and just flappin around. Wired in the hood hinges getting rubbed apart....what a mess, but it is all easy fix stuff. I am detailing the heck out of it to see what it needs a lot better. If not raining tomorrow, we will get pics. ((not sure if I can post pics here or not)) www.zjstech.net/~library/21516/Grabber10.jpg www.zjstech.net/~library/21516/Grabber7.jpg Wish I had more garage space...have 3 rides out in the elements now...only the little red monster has a roof over her head.
Leaving your Grabber outside in Chicago ... shame ... shame ... ... Do you know if Black was the original color? Tell us more about it ... engine, tranny, interior, etc ...
Well, I would like to have a home for all the toys, but only one gets to live indoors, so the 62 GTO wins. When the car is up and running good and safe, it will go to her new home at my brothers...if I can part with it by then! LOL It is growing on me Blue was original color inside and out. Was a 6 cyl Grabber original, at least that is how I read the VIN I think. It has a 302 in it now...Holly carb (that needs work) dual flowmasters (that the welds are really pi$$ poor) Needs for the most part all new interior from what I am finding. But the more we dig into it, the more we are just in shock how solid it is....what a rare find.
The more I see black Mavericks, the more I like 'em. Note to self: Paint job on red Maverick comes up this fall
Great looking car!!! Black has always been my favorite color for the mavs, it just takes a phenomenal amount of skill to lay it on and make it look good. Skill I DO NOT HAVE
Thanks for the warm welcome. I think it will be a nice little car when all done, I should be getting a huge delivery from SUMMIT Racing and AutoKrafters tomorrow. My brother SOOOO owes me big time!
