Muffler inlet/outlet question

    Im looking at getting these mufflers but the inlet and out are on opposite corners of each other and ive seen some mufflers on mavericks that have the outlet in the middle, will those mufflers not work since the inlet/outlets are in the corners, im going to dump at the axle.

    You can make them work. If you have the outlet on the outside, it won't affect the performance.

    Most of the time we get offset inlets, and put the inlets on the inboard side. Then center outlets.

    If you're not running tailpipes, you can use just about any style muffler. I recently ran a new system on my 77 using offset inlet/center outlet turbos and 65-66 Stang tailpipes, those pipes would have been even harder to run with offset outlets, there's very little room over the axles to run duals.
