hey guys! a little help here, the carb of my mav, which is the factory one, has been gving me problems, i can't push the gas to the bottom, it starts coughing so i wanna know should i change it or just give it manteinance, which i gave three months ago. thank you!!
i guess it's all about preference... rebuild it for $15 plus labor or spend $250 on a new 350cfm or 500 cfm Holley
...Or $50 for a used Holley or Edelbrock, and $20 for the kit. I would never buy a brand new carb, personally.
thanks! so suppose i go for the aftermarket one, which will you recomend? holley, edelbrock, change to fuel injection???
it all depends on how much you want to spend. fuel injection is the best way to go. its self tuning, drives really nicely, has a broader power curve, and costs alot more.
+2 for me as well. Good, little used Holleys can be had for less than $150. LAst one I bought didn't even need a kit.
